Welp, she's all done, and our client was extremely happy. This Acura came out great and looks stunning. We started out with scratch and rock chip repair, followed by a multi-step paint correction. Once we had the paint dialed in, we applied our professional grade coating to all the painted surfaces as well as the windshield. We also pulled the wheels and gave them a deep clean and coates them inside and out. This beauty is now protected for years to come and looks amazing.

Man, this paint is rough. Tons of swirls and deeper scratches but extremely hard clear coats, making it tough to remove the defects. Lots of work, but looking good

Yesterday was a very productive day. Although we didn't post any pictures we were able to knock out a multi-step paint correction on this beautiful Yukon Denali. After a few last-minute touch-ups, it's coating time! In the last picture, you can see the coating as it bonds to the paint

Phewwww This one took a lot! 16hrs of paint correction to bring this beauty back. Not perfect but looks dam good!

Phew, it's been a long day, and we're still going 😴 Wheels have been pulled and thoroughly cleaned and are in the process of being coated. Paint correction is also underway and almost halfway done. Preservation not perfection.. that's our mission on this one. With this being a 2013 and having spent many years running through automatic car washes it has a lot of damage. These 2 pictures speak volumes. One is a before and after of the passenger door, the other is a split 50/50 of a different spot on the same door. If you see the right side has a hint of gray and is a little dull, where as the left is black and clear. That dull gray is caused by car washes, both the chemicals and the brushes that smack your car, "cleaning" it. Please save your cars paint and avoid the automatic car wash!

This weekends project is a 2013 Mercedes SLK 250 hard top convertible. This little sportster will be getting rock chip repair, multi step paint correction, 5yr coating on the paint and full wheel off ceramic coating. Stick around for progress pictures tomorrow.

I have a love-hate relationship with black vehicles. This thing looks stunning!

Kicking off the weekend with this 24 Tahoe High Country, in black.... This truck will be getting paint correction, 5yr paint coating, windshield coating, and wheel face coating. The owner of this truck is a repeat client and knows dealers do more harm than good, so they asked them not to touch it. It was pretty dirty, considering it made a trip to Florida and back before coming to us, but that sure beats dealer installed swirls! This paint is in good condition but we will work our magic and make it really pop. Stick around to see this beauty all shined up as we begin a very busy few months.

The charger has been picked up and is headed home. The depth and shine of this thing is absolutely amazing.

After a very therapeutic weekend working on this 57, it's all done and ready to be picked up tonight. Although this is not original paint, we wanted to preserve the integrity and did not chase perfection. We were able to remove around 80% of the defects, which were mainly on the hood and top of the fenders. This classic is now back to its glory.

This seal right here is why we do a rinsless wash and do not use a pressure washer or soak the car. This is an original seal, and hitting it with a pressure washer will damage it even further and also cause water to get inside behind the panels. It's important to take your vehicle to a professional who knows and understands things like this.

This weekend we have a very special project for a very special client! Fred Frieze 57 Chevy in for some love and care! When it comes to classics, they require different methods than modern cars, and here at New Wave, we know how to treat them. Before getting into the paint enhancement and coating, we will need to wash and decontaminate the vehicle like every other vehicle, but not the traditional way. Classic cars, restored or original, shouldn't be washed with lots of water and high pressure. They require a little more finess, a little more care, so we will start with a rinsless wash to avoid damaging any seals or gaskets that might be brittle. We will then follow up with a fine clay to remove any bonded contaminates leaving the paint nice and clean for us to polish and coat. In addition to the paint, we will be doing a light polish on all the exterior chrome before ceramic coating it all. Stick around to see how this classic turns out!

This 2024 Ford Bronco came to us for a correction and coating. We started out with a multi-step decontamination wash to remove dirt, road grime, bugs, and any bonded surface contaminates like rail dust. Once we had a clean surface to work with, we did a few test steps to identify the best path forward for the correction. Once we got that worked out we got started on removing the swirls and scratches to produce this beautiful shine! After the paint was dialed and we applied Fireball USA Silla to lock in that shine, and make maintenance a breeze for years to come. Check out the finished product.

2014 C7 Corvette We atarted with a multi stage decontamination wash to remove bugs, tar, and overspray. Once we had a nice clean surface to work with, we turned our attention to the paint, which had years of abuse from the previous owner. To bring back the shine and depth, we performed a multi-step paint correction. Once we had the paint dialed in, we wiped down all surfaces to remove polishing oils, which would prevent the coating from bonding properly if left behind. It's been an extremely long day, but it'll be worth it once this beauty is done. 10hrs down and a few more to go before calling it quits for the day. Getting started on the second step to bring out the depth and clarity. It's not perfect, there's still a few scratches but for a 10yr old car it looks amazing.

Ok, the RAM is finally getting ready to go home. I'm sure you were all wondering what happened to the final pictures and how it came out. With all the snow and salt this week, we worked with our client to hold on to it for a bit longer, keeping the salt off the freshly coated paint and wheels. Although there is still a ton of salt on the road, the coating has cured for 7 days and will have no problems. I know some of you might be thinking.. Warren, I thought the point of coating my car is to protect it from the salt... That is 💯 true. However, our coatings have a 14 day full cure time time. We always have our clients best interest at heart and keeping in the garage for a little extra time only helps for a proper cure! Here is a picture before we pull it out in the sun and snow. Another long day but we are in the home stretch. Paint correction is complete and we are now doing our final wipe down before we start applying Fireball USA Silla 5yr coating to lock in this beautiful shine.

It has been an extremely long day and we're not don't yet. Just finishing up with the compound step which has removed roughly 85% of the swirls, scratches and etching from the paint. Now we go back around with a soft pad and finishing polish to refine or "jewel" the paint to bring out the clarity and shine you see here. This is the hood that we just finished the 2nd step on.

Another happy client! This beautiful 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500 came to us for our too coating package as well as full wheel off coating. It started with a full multi-step decontamination wash to remove bugs, road grime, and bonded surface contaminates. Once the paint was clean, we were able to see what we were working with and start with a few test spots. With the paint being in such great condition, we started with a medium compound and followed up with a fine polish to jewel the paint and bring out the deep gloss you see here. After the paint was dialed in, we pulled the wheels off and deep cleaned the wheels and calipers in preparation for coating. With the paint, wheels and calipers prepared and ready for coating we started by applying #fireballusa_official Dok Do base to all painted surfaces. While the base cured for 2hrs we moved on to the wheels and calipers. Finally we applied Dok Do top which is a super hydrophobic top coat specifically made to chemically bond to the base. Today marks the 22nd anniversary of a day that will stay with us as long as we live. As I have said in the past, I remember the day this happened as if it were yesterday, something that is not normal for me (I have a terrible memory).
